olli-maki

Matt Ross for CAPTAIN FANTASTIC

Prize for Best Screenplay

Delphine Coulin & Muriel Coulin for VOIR DU PAYS (THE STOPOVER)

Special Prize Un Certain Regard

LA TORTUE ROUGE (THE RED TURTLE) by Michael Dudok de Wit

I must say that the prize to Kuosmanen movie came as a surprise to me. But that is often the case at Cannes!

I liked the movie and found the choice of B&W very appropriate to the script (Cannes Film Festival – 9th day – May 19th).

It was not ma favorite, but I’m happy that Finland got a prize and not for a Kaurismäki work.

“Rendez-vous” tonight for the results of the Official Competition.
